Things You Should Know

Please view the map of the Teton River at the bottom of this page.

*Our shuttle has 2 drop-off options, and 3 pick-up options. Although individual float times vary, most parties take around 2 hours per section. This can vary based on flow rate of the river. You are welcome to go as fast or as slow as you would like! The longest float option is 6-8 hours of passive floating (not including stops).

*Our permit requires everyone using our shuttle to be off the river by 6:00 PM, no exceptions.*

– South Bates Bridge: Also called Nickerson bridge, this is our most upriver put-in. We drop off here on the half-hour (9:30, 10:30, 11:30, etc.). This boat ramp accesses the widest and straightest section of the river making it a great option for beginner paddlers. From here floaters can take out at Bates Bridge (4 miles, ~2hrs), Rainey Bridge (8 miles, ~4-5 hrs), or Cache Bridge (12 miles, ~6-8hrs). There is a pit vault toilet at this location.

– Bates Bridge: Also known as Buxton Bridge, this is our second put-in option. We drop of here on the hour (10:00, 11:00, 12:00, etc.). From this boat ramp, floaters can take out at Rainey Bridge (4 miles, ~2 hrs) or Cache Bridge (8 miles, ~4-5 hrs). There is a pit vault toilet at this location.

Rainey Bridge: Also known as the Big Eddy, this is our most popular take-out. Despite the name, there is no bridge here. The boat ramp is on the left side of the river and is adjacent to the big eddy camp ground. There are multiple pit vault toilet at this location.

Cache Bridge: Also known as Packsaddle Road, this is the final take out option. Do not go past this boat ramp! This smaller boat ramp and parking area is on the left side of the river just before the Cache bridge. There is a handicap accessible port-o-potty at this location.

*CHECK THE WEATHER! Our valley has significant weather and temperature fluctuations. Appropriate clothing is a must.

*Quick dry clothing and shoes/sandals that can get wet are recommended.
*Please be well prepared with snacks or a lunch, at least a liter of water, and sun protection/extra clothing layers depending on the weather.
*You are welcome to take our boats to other places to float, however we currently only operate a shuttle to and from the Teton River.

CONSERVATION EASEMENTS ARE PRIVATE PROPERTIES. Please respect them.
